The automatic control scheme of the vulcanizing machine mainly focuses on improving production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and reducing energy consumption. The following are some key points:

Temperature control

The temperature of the mold is collected in real time by PLC through PT100 thermocouple, and the power of the heating tube is dynamically adjusted by PID algorithm to achieve three-level temperature closed-loop control, so that the temperature control accuracy reaches ±0.5℃. For large molds, a temperature compensation function for mold zones can be developed to solve the problem of edge heat dissipation.

The temperature control unit can include platinum resistance, AI module, PID, AO module and thyristor voltage regulator, etc. The platinum resistance is selected as a high-precision type, the AI module has a high conversion bit number, and the PID regulation adopts fuzzy overprint suppression technology to ensure the stability and accuracy of temperature control.

Pressure control

The hydraulic servo system was upgraded to adopt servo motor + ball screw drive, replacing the traditional cylinder pressure control method. The response time was shortened to <100ms and the pressure control accuracy was improved to ±0.05MPa.

Develop a pressure-temperature coupling control algorithm to automatically compensate for pressure loss in the high-temperature stage and ensure the stability and accuracy of pressure during the vulcanization process.

Time control

By using the timing function of PLC, the vulcanization time can be precisely controlled to avoid the accumulation of timing errors. Meanwhile, parameters such as the degassing time and degassing frequency can be set to meet the vulcanization requirements of different rubber products.

Automation function:

It realizes multiple automated functions such as automatic loading and unloading, automatic door opening and closing, and automatic control of temperature and pressure, improving production efficiency and operational convenience. For instance, the moving template can have the functions of rapid ascent, slow locking, and rapid descent. The fast to slow rotation during mold closing and the fast to slow rotation during exhaust can be adjusted separately.

Human-computer Interaction and Monitoring

By using touch LCD screens and other devices, various key data such as pressure, temperature, power on and off status of the heating plate, as well as heating and constant temperature time can be displayed in real time, facilitating the monitoring and adjustment of the vulcanization process by operators.

Develop a formula management system to achieve one-click switching of different rubber formula parameters and improve production flexibility and efficiency.

Safety protection

Add triple interlocking and other safety protection measures in the program, such as interlocking functions for temperature over-limit, abnormal pressure, and door limit, to ensure the safety and reliability of the vulcanization process.

Install motor protection devices, alarm devices, etc., to provide all-round safety protection for the equipment.
