The anti-corrosion design of conveyor belt vulcanizing machines in the chemical industry can be approached from the following aspects:
Selection of anti-corrosion materials and application of coatings
Anti-corrosion coating: Applying anti-corrosion coatings on the surface of equipment is a common anti-corrosion measure. Materials such as diformic acid resin, epoxy resin, and polyvinyl acetal can be selected to isolate metal equipment from corrosive media. When painting, it is necessary to fully understand the anti-rust ability, chemical properties and anti-aging degree of the paint film. At the same time, factors such as the construction function of the equipment, surface condition, as well as the surrounding environmental temperature and medium should be considered to ensure the effective combination of the two.
Metal coatings and non-metal coatings: Protective layers are formed by methods such as plug welding, lining welding, metal compounding, diffusion plating, spray plating, and electroplating. These preventive processes have strict requirements, but they feature excellent anti-corrosion performance and a long service life.
Structural design optimization
Simplify shape design: Try to simplify the shape of the equipment, optimize dead corners where chemical substances are prone to accumulate, and reduce complex geometric shape designs to control equipment corrosion caused by substance sedimentation.
Control gap design: Pay attention to the gap design of chemical machinery to avoid the increase of metal crevice corrosion caused by the retention of chemical liquids, prevent the occurrence of pore corrosion and mechanical cavitation, control the contact between grooves and crevices, and avoid the problem of large crevice corrosion.
Select the welding process reasonably: Ensure the stability of the welding level and prevent welding defects at the interface.
Anti-corrosion additives and cathodic protection
Anti-corrosion additives: Add additives with anti-corrosion properties, such as thiobenzene, nitrite and complexate, etc., to form a protective film on the surface of the equipment and inhibit the corrosion of the metal surface. Pay attention to the concentration control when in use.
Cathodic protection method: In the anti-corrosion work of chemical machinery and equipment, cathodic protection method can be adopted for anti-corrosion treatment.
