The fault diagnosis technology of vulcanizing machines mainly focuses on their common faults. The following are some key diagnostic techniques:

Diagnosis of abnormal pressure

When the pressure of the vulcanizing machine fails to rise or increases very slowly, first check whether the high-pressure pump is faulty, whether the high-pressure relief valve is not closed, whether there is any leakage in the pipeline, and whether the pressure gauge is malfunctioning. Abnormal pressure problems can be solved by taking measures such as disassembling, inspecting and repairing the high-pressure pump, cleaning and correctly adjusting the high-pressure relief valve, identifying and eliminating pipeline leakage points, and replacing malfunctioning pressure gauges.

If the pressure cannot be automatically replenished, it is necessary to check whether the sealing of the valve seat and valve disc of the oil release valve is not tight, whether the sealing of the valve core in the check valve is not tight, and whether there is any leakage in the pipeline or cylinder. The pressure-holding function can be restored by measures such as disassembling for cleaning and grinding, changing the seals, and tightening the cylinder inlet pipe.

Abnormal temperature diagnosis

When the temperatures of the hot plates in the vulcanizing machine are inconsistent, it might be that the electric heating tubes of one of the heating plates are damaged. By judging and replacing the damaged electric heating tubes through an ammeter, the consistency of the hot plate temperature can be restored.

When the vulcanizing machine experiences temperature control failure, the plate does not heat up or the temperature rises more slowly than normal, it is necessary to check whether the temperature control regulator, thermal resistance, electric heating fuse and other components are damaged or have poor contact. The problem of abnormal temperature can be solved by measures such as replacing damaged components, swapping the rapid fuse core or connecting the circuit.

Noise and Vibration Diagnosis

When abnormal noise occurs in the vulcanizing machine, it may be due to a large amount of air in the pipeline, a clogged oil filter, a low oil level in the oil tank or a damaged oil pump. Noise can be reduced by measures such as repeatedly discharging air from the upper and lower parts of the press, disassembling and cleaning the oil filter, adding oil, and disassembling and repairing or replacing the oil pump.

If the vulcanizing machine vibrates too much, it is necessary to check whether the vulcanizing machine is placed flat, whether the surface is smooth, and whether the machine’s support seat and various couplings are loose or damaged. Vibration can be reduced by adjusting the position of the vulcanizing machine, tightening the support seats and couplings, etc.

Oil leakage and seal diagnosis:

When there is a large amount of oil leakage around the plunger in the vulcanizing machine, it may be due to the damage of the sealing ring. The oil leakage problem can be solved by replacing the sealing ring.

For sealing issues such as weld leakage, it is necessary to check whether the welds are intact and whether the sealing parts are aged or damaged. The sealing performance of the vulcanizing machine can be restored by measures such as on-site repair with high molecular composite materials or replacement of sealing parts.

Electrical fault diagnosis

When electrical faults occur in the vulcanizing machine, such as low sensitivity of some instruments, meters and buttons, it is necessary to inspect and repair the working conditions of the instruments, meters and components inside the electrical control box as well as the sealing condition of the oil circuit. The normal operation of the electrical system can be restored by measures such as replacing damaged components and adjusting electrical circuits.
