The key points for maintaining the vulcanizing machine of the conveyor belt in the steel plant are as follows

First, daily cleaning and inspection

Equipment surface cleaning: After each day’s work, the surface of the vulcanizing machine should be wiped with a dry and soft cotton cloth to remove rubber debris, coal powder, iron filings and other impurities remaining during the vulcanization process of the conveyor belt, to prevent impurities from entering the equipment and affecting operation.

Key component inspection: Check the surface of the vulcanized plate for scratches, pits or deformations. If there is minor damage, it should be repaired in time. If there is severe damage, the vulcanized plate needs to be replaced to ensure the quality of vulcanization. At the same time, check whether there is any leakage at the oil pipes and joints of the hydraulic system. If leakage is found, tighten or replace the sealing parts immediately.

Electrical system inspection: Check whether the electrical components inside the electrical control box are loose or scorched, and whether the terminal blocks are firm. Regularly clean the dust inside the electrical control box to prevent dust accumulation from causing short circuits and other faults.

Second, lubrication and maintenance

Hydraulic system lubrication: In accordance with the requirements of the equipment manual, the hydraulic oil should be replaced regularly, generally every six months to one year. The specific time can be adjusted according to the usage frequency and environmental conditions. At the same time, check the oil level of the hydraulic oil to ensure it is within the normal range. Regularly clean the hydraulic oil tank to remove impurities and sediment inside.

Lubrication of moving parts: For the guide columns, guide sleeves, lead screws and other moving parts of the vulcanizing machine, apply grease regularly, generally once every two weeks, to reduce wear and ensure the flexibility of the moving parts.

Third, maintenance of the heating system

Heating plate maintenance: Regularly inspect the heating performance of the heating plate. Use professional temperature detection equipment to measure the temperature uniformity on the surface of the heating plate. If a significant temperature deviation is found, check whether the heating element is damaged and replace the damaged heating element in a timely manner. When replacing the heating element, pay attention to the sealing of the installation to prevent the heating plate from leaking electricity.

Calibration of the temperature control system: Calibrate the temperature control system at regular intervals to ensure the accuracy of temperature control. During the calibration process, use a standard thermometer to compare with the temperature displayed by the temperature control system. If there is a deviation, make adjustments according to the method specified in the equipment manual.

Fourth, maintenance of the pressure system

Pressure gauge calibration: Regularly send the pressure gauge to a professional metrology institution for calibration, usually once a year, to ensure the accuracy of pressure measurement. During the calibration process, if a significant error in the pressure gauge is found, it should be replaced in a timely manner.

Hydraulic cylinder maintenance: Check whether the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder has any scratches, rust or other conditions. If there are minor scratches, they can be sanded smooth with sandpaper. If the rust is severe, rust removal treatment should be carried out and anti-rust paint should be applied. At the same time, check whether the seals of the hydraulic cylinder are aged or damaged. If necessary, replace the seals in a timely manner.

Fifth, storage and protection

Storage environment: If the vulcanizing machine is not used for a long time, it should be stored in a dry and well-ventilated indoor environment to prevent the equipment from getting damp and rusting. When storing, anti-rust oil should be applied to key parts of the vulcanizing machine, such as vulcanizing plates and hydraulic cylinders.

Protective measures: During storage, cover the vulcanizing machine with a dust cover to prevent dust and debris from entering the interior of the equipment. At the same time, regularly inspect the stored equipment to check for any abnormal conditions. If any problems are found, deal with them promptly.
