The selection of a vulcanizing machine for mining conveyor belts should take into account the following aspects:
Vulcanization pressure and temperature range: The vulcanization pressure and temperature range of the vulcanizing machine must meet the vulcanization process requirements of the mine conveyor belt. The vulcanization pressure is usually between 1.0 and 2.0MPa, and the vulcanization temperature is around 145℃. The temperature difference on the surface of the vulcanized plate needs to be controlled within ±5℃. The temperature adjustment range should cover 0-200℃ to meet the vulcanization requirements of different conveyor belt materials.
The size of the vulcanized plate and the heating method: The size of the vulcanized plate needs to match the width of the conveyor belt. Common widths of vulcanized plates include 800mm, 1000mm, 1200mm and other specifications. The heating method can be selected as electric heating or steam heating. The electric heating vulcanizing machine needs to be equipped with a heating system that matches the total heating power and the output power of the electric control box to ensure that the temperature rise time (from room temperature to 145℃) does not exceed 30 minutes.
Equipment structure and installation method: Select vertical, horizontal or split structure according to the on-site conditions of the mine. The flat vulcanizing machine is suitable for conventional vulcanization operations, while the drum vulcanizing machine can achieve continuous vulcanization of large-inclination conveyor belts. The corresponding model should be selected based on the type of conveyor belt and the vulcanization process.
Safety protection and explosion-proof requirements: The vulcanizing machines used in underground coal mines must have explosion-proof functions. The power supply voltage is usually 660V or 380V, and safety devices such as overload protection and leakage protection must be equipped. The equipment must comply with the safety standards for mines and ensure stable operation in damp and dusty environments.
Ease of operation and maintainability: The vulcanizing machine should be equipped with an automatic control function, supporting precise adjustment of temperature, pressure and time. The equipment needs to be designed with a rapid ascending/descending function to facilitate the operators to complete the vulcanization operation quickly. At the same time, the convenience of equipment maintenance should be taken into consideration, such as the replacement of heating plates and the inspection and repair of the hydraulic system.
Applicable conveyor belt type: Select the model with the corresponding vulcanization pressure based on the material of the mine conveyor belt (such as canvas core, nylon core, steel rope core). The vulcanization of steel cord conveyor belts requires a pressure of over 1.5MPa, while that of canvas and nylon core conveyor belts is between 1.0 and 1.3MPa. It is necessary to ensure that the equipment parameters match the type of conveyor belt.
