The common faults of conveyor belt vulcanizing machines mainly include the following categories:
Temperature control failure
The heating process becomes longer or the temperature fails to reach the set value: It may be due to the fact that no wooden insulation board is placed between the heating plate and the frame, or the insulation board is damp or lost. Furthermore, if the vulcanization time switch is mistakenly turned on, the equipment may enter the heat preservation stage, resulting in the temperature not being able to rise.
Uneven temperature of the heating plate: The possible cause is that the insulation plate is damaged, resulting in uneven heating temperature and affecting the vulcanization quality. It could also be that the internal heating plate is damaged. You need to contact the manufacturer for replacement or return it to the factory for repair.
Pressure control failure
The pressure cannot be raised: This might be due to the water inlet of the water pressure plate being tightened by the bolts of the frame, or the manual pump having air leakage, loose joints, or damaged gaskets of the water pressure pump, etc.
Mechanical component failure
Weld leakage: During the long-term operation of the vulcanizing machine, due to the influence of vibration, wear, pressure, temperature and repeated disassembly and assembly, oil leakage may occur at the static sealing parts of each joint surface, such as weld leakage of the hot plate.
Base plate corrosion: The base plates of vulcanizing machines are mostly made of ordinary carbon steel. During the high-temperature steam vulcanization process, condensate water may seep into the surface of the base plate, causing local corrosion and affecting the normal operation of the equipment.
Electrical system failure
Temperature control failure: It may be caused by reasons such as the malfunction of the temperature controller, the break of the control circuit, the open circuit of the electric heating fuse or the open circuit of the wiring.
Abnormal noise: It may be caused by excessive air in the pipeline, clogged oil filter, low oil level in the oil tank or damaged oil pump, etc.
Faults caused by improper operation:
Adhesion between the heating plate and the conveyor belt: If no isolation materials such as newspapers or talcum powder are placed between the upper and lower heating plates, the heating plate may come into direct contact with the conveyor belt, resulting in adhesion.
The joint cannot be tightly bonded: It may be caused by reasons such as damage to the insulation board, uneven heating temperature or damage to the internal heating plate.
