The conveyor belt vulcanizing machine is an important equipment used for vulcanizing and connecting conveyor belt joints. The normal operation of its key components directly affects the vulcanization quality and the service life of the equipment. The following are the key components of the conveyor belt vulcanizing machine that need to be inspected with emphasis:
First, heating system
Heating plate
The heating plate is one of the core components of the vulcanizing machine. It enables the rubber to undergo vulcanization reactions under certain temperatures and pressures through heating. When inspecting, it is necessary to check whether the surface of the heating plate is flat and whether there is any deformation, scratch or corrosion. Uneven heating plates can cause uneven heating of the conveyor belt joints, affecting the vulcanization quality. For instance, if the heating plate is locally dented, the rubber in that area may not reach the required vulcanization temperature, resulting in insufficient joint strength.
At the same time, the temperature uniformity of the heating plate also needs to be checked. Infrared thermometers can be used to measure the temperatures at different positions of the heating plate to ensure that the temperature deviation at each point is within the allowable range. Generally speaking, the temperature deviation should be controlled within ±5℃ to ensure that the vulcanization degree of each part of the conveyor belt joint is consistent.
Heating element
The heating element is usually an electric heating tube or electric heating wire, which is responsible for providing heat to the heating plate. Check whether the heating element is damaged, such as whether there are problems like open circuit, short circuit or poor contact. The resistance value of the heating element can be measured with a multimeter and compared with the normal value to determine whether it is damaged. If the heating element is damaged, it will cause the heating plate to fail to heat up normally, affecting the progress of the vulcanization operation.
In addition, it is necessary to check whether the connection between the heating element and the heating plate is firm and whether there is any loosening. Loose connections can lead to poor contact, affect heat transfer, and may even cause safety accidents.
Second, the pressure system
Hydraulic pump
The hydraulic pump is the power source of the pressure system, providing the required pressure for the vulcanizing machine. Check the operating status of the hydraulic pump, listen to whether its running sound is normal, and see if there is any abnormal vibration or noise. If the hydraulic pump makes abnormal sounds, it may be caused by reasons such as worn or loose internal parts or insufficient hydraulic oil, and timely maintenance or replacement is required.
At the same time, check whether the oil level of the hydraulic pump is within the normal range and whether the hydraulic oil is clean and free of impurities. Insufficient or contaminated hydraulic oil can affect the performance of the hydraulic pump, reduce pressure output, and even cause damage to the hydraulic pump.
Hydraulic cylinder
The hydraulic cylinder is a component that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy and is used to push the heating plate to apply pressure to the conveyor belt joint. Check the sealing performance of the hydraulic cylinder and see if there is any leakage of hydraulic oil. Hydraulic oil leakage can lead to insufficient pressure, affecting the quality of vulcanization. At the same time, it will also cause waste of hydraulic oil and environmental pollution.
In addition, it is necessary to check whether the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder is bent, deformed or worn, etc. The damage of the piston rod will affect the normal movement of the hydraulic cylinder, resulting in unstable pressure.
Pressure gauge
The pressure gauge is used to display the working pressure of the vulcanizing machine and is an important tool for monitoring the pressure system. Check whether the indication of the pressure gauge is accurate and whether there is any damage or jamming. The reading of the pressure gauge can be calibrated by comparing it with the standard pressure gauge. If the pressure gauge indicates inaccurately, it may cause the vulcanization pressure to be too high or too low, affecting the vulcanization effect of the conveyor belt joint.
Third, the electrical system
Control panel
The control panel is the control center for operating the vulcanizing machine, equipped with various control buttons, indicator lights and display screens. Check whether the buttons on the control panel are sensitive, whether the indicator lights are displayed normally, and whether the parameters on the display screen are accurate. If the buttons malfunction or the indicator lights are abnormal, it may affect the normal operation of the vulcanizing machine.
Meanwhile, check whether the wiring of the control panel is firm and whether there is any loosening or short circuit. Loose wiring can lead to unstable transmission of control signals and affect the operation of the vulcanizing machine.
Electrical components
Check the electrical components inside the vulcanizing machine, such as contactors, relays, circuit breakers, etc., to see if there is any damage or aging. These electrical components play a role in control and protection in the circuit. If they are damaged or aged, it may cause circuit failures and affect the normal operation of the vulcanizing machine.
The performance of electrical components can be tested with tools such as a multimeter to determine whether they are working properly. Damaged or aged electrical components should be replaced in a timely manner.
Fourth, mechanical structure
Rack
The frame is the supporting structure of the vulcanizing machine, bearing the pressure of the entire equipment and during operation. Check whether the frame is deformed, cracked or loose. Deformation or cracks in the frame will affect the overall stability and accuracy of the vulcanizing machine, causing the heating plate to fail to close the mold normally and affecting the vulcanization quality.
Meanwhile, check whether the connecting bolts of the frame are tightened and if there is any loosening. Loose bolts can cause the frame to shake, increase the vibration and noise of the equipment, and may even lead to safety accidents.
Guiding device
The guiding device is used to ensure the stability and accuracy of the heating plate during the lifting and lowering process. Check whether the guide rails, sliders and other components of the guiding device are worn and whether there is any jamming. Worn guiding devices will cause the heating plate to move unsmoothly, affecting the fit between the heating plate and the conveyor belt joint, thereby reducing the vulcanization quality.
Fifth, auxiliary components
Water pressure plate (if any)
The water pressure plate is used to provide uniform pressure during the vulcanization process and is usually used in conjunction with the heating plate. Check whether there is any leakage in the water pressure plate and whether the water pressure is normal. Leaking water pressure plates can lead to insufficient pressure, affecting the vulcanization effect.
At the same time, check whether the sealing parts of the water pressure plate are aged or damaged. If necessary, replace them in time.
Heat insulation board
Insulation boards are used to reduce heat loss, improve heating efficiency, and protect operators from high temperatures at the same time. Check whether the insulation board is intact and whether there is any damage or detachment. Damaged insulation boards will lead to increased heat loss, affect the control of vulcanization temperature, and may also pose safety hazards.
